Are you looking for more joy in your life?
Do you feel you’re having a hard time feeling fulfilled by motherhood?
Is it difficult for you feel present with your children because things are so busy and chaotic?
Do you feel like you’ve been dealt a bad hand? Had nothing but roadblocks and disappointments thrown your way and you’re not sure how to cope?
Do you find yourself feeling like you’re not enough a lot of the time?
I did. When I became a mother I was shocked by just how quickly I was challenged by my thoughts, expectations, and feelings. I started to realize that I was being eaten up by expectations (others and my own), insecurity, and anxiety. I didn’t feel empowered, I felt lost. Motherhood threw me into a new world that I didn’t know too so much resilience and strength to thrive. So I put on my big girl panties and started doing the work. I got help, I leaned on my education as a psychotherapist and I did a ton of research about maternal mental health and emotional wellness. And I started to find myself again, to empower myself to feel worthy, and to see all the amazing parts of my life that were always there but that I just didn’t see before. Things still aren’t sunshine and rainbows all the time. I lose my cool sometimes, I feel insecure now and then, but now I recognize these feelings. I give them some space and then I empower myself to be RESILIENT.
That’s why I started Resilient Mamas. I wanted others to start seeing themselves through a fresh perspective where they 1) felt enough, 2) felt empowered, and 3) felt capable of managing the strong winds of motherhood with flexibility, security, and a growth mindset because that is the definition of RESILIENCE. I started this organization a year ago offering coaching, workshops, and monthly online groups. As I’ve grown I’ve felt so privileged to help the mamas that have trusted me with their thoughts and feelings. But it is my passion (probably because of my professional background as a clinical social worker) to make this important work accessible and affordable for all moms. So I decided in 2020 I’m going to do just that with The Resilient Mamas Club.
